The Brand is YOU — What That Really Means (From Russell of Hotels)

When I say “The Brand is You,” I mean that before people buy what you’re offering — they buy you.

Your energy, your consistency, your professionalism, and how you show up every day all speak louder than any logo or slogan ever could.

In hospitality, you are the first impression. Whether you’re representing a hotel, a destination, or your own business, the way you engage with others — online and in person — becomes the foundation of your brand.

Here’s what that means in action:
1️⃣ Be Visible. Show up on social media, at events, and in conversations. Visibility creates credibility.
2️⃣ Be Authentic. People connect with realness — not perfection. Be yourself, tell your story, and let others see the person behind the title.
3️⃣ Be Consistent. Post regularly, follow up with purpose, and always deliver on what you say. Consistency builds trust — and trust builds your brand.

At the end of the day, your brand doesn’t start with your company — it starts with you.

That’s what “The Brand is You” means to me.
